The Ravinto is a slow-cooking and deep-frying appliance designed for a shared cooking environment, with focus on adaptability, transformability and repairability. Easy cleaning and minimal storage space were additional factors taken into account while designing the Ravinto.

The design process for this product relied heavily on research, user testing, and peer feedback.

THE PROCESS

Throughout the design process, I conducted primary and secondary research to determine issues and improve my design. Through observation, interviews and secondary research, I was able to analyze the way users interact with slow cookers and deep fryers and identify some issues found in these existing products. User testing of conceptual models and more interviews later helped me refine my design and determine an intuitive interface and an easy use cycle.

THE REPORT

To conclude this project, I had to write a report detailing my complete design process, the obstacles I met, and the features of my final design. Feel free to read through it if you are interested in knowing more about this project and my thinking process.
